Trondheim: Second stop of the Raw Air
No qualifications were on the program, instead the best 50 jumpers of the Raw Air overall ranking started in both individual competitions. This meant that all six German jumpers took part.
Tuesday - Individual jumping
The competition on Tuesday was held on the normal hill. Andreas Wellinger was in a good position in third place after the first round, but ended up just behind the podium as the best German in fourth place.
Philipp Raimund also impressed, finishing sixth with jumps of 101.0 and 101.5 meters.
Pius Paschke finished 17th, Stephan Leyhe 23rd.
Karl Geiger and Constantin Schmid missed out on the second round.
Wednesday - Individual jumping
Philipp Raimund impressed in the first round of the large hill on Wednesday, showing a strong jump of 135.5 meters and finishing in fifth place.
Constantin Schmid and Stephan Leyhe, on the other hand, were unable to qualify for the final round. Andreas Wellinger, on the other hand, finished 30th.
In the second round, Raimund then lost his balance when landing and had to forfeit points. He dropped back to 13th place. The best German was Pius Paschke in eleventh place. Karl Geiger, who finished in 16th place after a mixed last few weeks, was satisfied.
The other results:
Andreas Wellinger (28th place)
Constantin Schmid (37th place)
Stephan Leyhe (47th place)
The DSV eagles now move on to the third and final stage of the Raw Air in Vikersund, where ski flying is on the program.
