Final rehearsal before Nordic World Ski Championships
Saturday - Individual Competition
Andreas Wellinger has won the Ski Jumping World Cup in Rasnov. The man from Bavaria prevailed on the normal hill of Rasnov in a blink of an eye final ahead of the Slovenian Ziga Jelar and Karl Geiger. Five German starters finished among the top six. However, it must be mentioned that many of the competitors skipped the Romanian stop due to the preparation for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica.
Sunday - Super Team Competition
Andreas Wellinger and Karl Geiger won the super team competition at the end of the Ski Jumping World Cup in Rasnov, Romania. With 736.9 points after three rounds they clearly beat Slovenia with Ziga Jelar and Maksim Bartolj (-33.8 points) and Austria (Philipp Aschenwald/Clemens Aigner/-36.1). At the premiere of the new competition format introduced this winter last weekend in Lake Placid, Geiger and Wellinger had just missed the podium.
