German eagles with solid Four Hills Tournament dress rehearsal in Engelberg
Saturday - Individual Jumping
Anže Lanišek from Slovenia secured his third World Cup victory of the season on Saturday. Poland's Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Żyła finished second and third behind him.
Best German was surprisingly Andreas Wellinger in sixth place, who seems to find his form again just in time for the Four Hills Tournament. Except for Constantin Schmid, who narrowly failed in 31st place, all German athletes made it to the second round. Karl Geiger, who celebrated his first podium of the season in Titisee-Neustadt a week earlier, finished in 22nd place.
Sunday - Individual Jumping
World Cup leader Dawid Kubacki from Poland stood on top of the podium for the fourth time this season on Sunday. Austria's Manuel Fettner finished second ahead of Anže Lanišek from Slovenia.
Karl Geiger barely made it into the top 10 in tenth place at the second World Cup of the weekend, but a fall in the first run prevented the Oberstdorf native from being among the front runners. Pius Paschke in 14th, Andreas Wellinger in 19th and Constantin Schmid in 20th rounded off the solid result of the DSV.
