Stoch dominates in Innsbruck

Kamil Stoch won the third jumping event of the Four-Hills-Tournament on Sunday and took the lead in the overall ranking at the same time. Anze Lanisek (Slovenia) came in second, Dawid Kubacki (Poland) third. The German jumpers disappointed.

Polish dominance at the Bergisel. First, third and fourth place went to Stoch, Kubacki and Żyła. Only the Slovenian Anze Lanisek prevented a triple podium for the Polish team. On the other side the German jumpers around Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler disappointed. While Eisenbichler fought his way up to 6th place with a strong second jump, Geiger disappointed especially in the first round. Only 117 metres were recorded for the athlete from Oberstdorf, so that his good second flight (128.5m) was only enough for 16th place. The Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud had a similar fate, he jumped 116.5 metres in the first round and 127.5 metres in the second. This led to 15th place and the loss of the 1st place in the overall ranking of the tour. Stoch and Kubacki are leading the ranking before the last competition in Bischofshofen. Geiger and Eisenbichler are lurking behind Granerud on 4 and 5.
