Three German podiums in Willingen

The final rehearsal before the World Championship has been rather successful for the German athletes.

Their three podiums were divided over three competitions, the first one being a team competition that was rescheduled to Willingen after the weather competitions of Titisee-Neustadt made it impossible to jump in early December 2018. Team Germany secured the second rank – behind Poland and in front of Slovenia. Saturday was then the day of Karl Geiger who got the second win of his career. The last two winners of the New Year's Ski Jumping Event, Kamil Stoch and Ryoyu Kobayashi, followed him onto the podium. Sunday, the reigning 4 Hills Champions stroke back to take not only the win of the day but also of the overall Willingen Five standings. Second of the day was Geigers team mate Markus Eisenbichler, Piotr Zyla completed the podium. A happy face on 4th rank: Richard Freitag put himself back into good form with two Top6 results during the weekend.

Seems as if the nordic ski World Championships are coming are coming " à la bonne heure" for the German team. And of course for the reigning 4 Hills Champion who has already celebrated his 11th win of the season...
