A star for me and you – Sven Hannawald inagurates action week

Last Monday, 19th of September, Sven Hannawald was present at the “Markt der Möglichkeiten” in the Olympic hall in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. As the star guest he opened the week round about the topic “Mental health in Children & Adolescents”.

The action week started on Monday with a highlight: Sven Hannawald, former champion of the Four Hills Tournament, came to talk about his experience with pressure to perform and mental problems as he fought successfully against a burn-out. “Children are our future, so it is essential to early recognize difficulties, to lift burdens from their shoulders and to talk about fears”, says Michael Maurer, president of SC Partenkirchen. “Sven speaks from experience, he can impart his knowledge to the kids and that is why we are so happy to have him here for these action days.”
But not only speeches were given, Sven Hannawald also wrote autographs, took photos and had several talks.

Besides the speech of Hannawald, many staff members of institutions like AOK or the public health department, and also further experts like therapists, psychologists and doctors found their way to this event to hand out advices and measures on the topic “Mental health” to the children, adolescents and their parents.
