Parking area

There is no public parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. We therefore recommend to park at the marked parking areas (red and green) within the city limits of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and use the Shuttlebus Services.

Important: On December 31, there will be no Shuttle Service from and to the red parking area. From and to the green parking area the regular City Shuttle Busses are available free of charge.

There are connections to Munich from Hamburg, Hildesheim, Berlin und Düsseldorf.

By Train

On the event days 31.12. and 01.01. there will be a special stop provided by the German 'Bundesbahn' called „Bahnhof Kainzenbad“, directly opposite the Olympic Ski Stadium. Walking distance is about 100 meters and the event site is freely accessible.

Coming from the north

The regional train runs hourly from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen stopping at the special station „Bahnhof Kainzenbad“. On New Year's Eve there will also be additional rail connections to / from Munich and Austria.

Coming from the south

The regional train runs hourly from Mittenwald to Garmisch-Partenkirchen stopping at the special station „Bahnhof Kainzenbad“ until Munich.

Coming from the west / 'Außerfern Railway' (regional train) from Reutte

The regional train “Außerfern Bahn” runs regularly from Reutte to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Main Station, and back.

By Bus

Coming from the north

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a station in the route network of "MeinFernbus". Bus number 040 runs several times a day directly from Munich / München airport and / ZOB to Garmisch-Partenkirchen / train station. Walking to the Olympic Ski Stadium takes approximately 25 minutes.

Food & Drink

A large number of stands offer small dishes as well as hot and cold drinks in the Fan Park and the fairgrounds.

It is prohibited to bring food and all types of beverages into the event site, in particular alcoholic beverages

Lost & Found

Lost items that are submitted during the event will be stored at the race office.

Good to know

Bringing beverages, glass containers, cans, PET bottles, styrofoam boards, bulky objects, torches, weapons, knives or similar dangerous objects is strictly prohibited.
No animals may be taken into the stadium.
Due to the limited space an the narrow aisles in the VIP tent we are sorry to inform you that there no trolleys are allowed for safety reasons.

Bag Searches

Due to the high security requirements for the New Years Ski Jumping Competition, bag searches will be carried out at the entrance areas before and during the event. This can, therefore lead to delays in entering the event. We advise you to allow more time to get into the event and we apologise for any inconvenience.
