DSV-Team for first Worlcup in Wisla
Tomorrow the long awaited ski jumping season in Wisla, Poland, starts. The new head coach of the German team has appointed seven jumpers to the team. „In addition to the established jumpers Markus Eisenbichler, Karl Geiger, Richard Freitag and Stephan Leyhe, Moritz Baer, Constantin Schmid and Pius Paschke have also qualified for the first three World Cup stations", explains the Austrian. The fact that two jumpers of the B-team are represented right at the beginning is not only due to the injuries of Severin Freund and Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger. The jumpers from the B -team „with their good performances in the summer competition series, the German Championships and in the central training courses, recommended themselves for a start at the Worldcup" said Horngacher.
The first round will start in Wisla with the qualification on Friday at 6 p.m., on Saturday at 4 p.m. the team competition will take place before the first single competition of the season will take place on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
