Geiger with double victory in Predazzo

With a brilliant double victory on the normal hill Karl Geiger took over the yellow jersey of the overall World Cup leader this weekend. On Saturday the other Germans were also pleased about good results.

Only five days after the end of the Four Hills Tournament, the ski jumpers continued directly on the weekend with the regular World Cup in Val di Fiemme. On both days Karl Geiger from Germany, Stefan Kraft from Austria and tour champion Dawid Kubacki from Poland finished on the podium. With his victory on Saturday, Geiger also took over the jersey of the overall World Cup leader from the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi. On the first day of competition, Karl Geiger, Constantin Schmid (5th place) and Pius Paschke (8th place) were happy about the best World Cup results of their career. Stephan Leyhe came sixth.

Before the next World Cup weekend in Tittisee-Neustadt Karl Geiger now has a lead of about 120 points over Stefan Kraft.
