Granerud confidently wins 71st Four Hills Tournament

With a lead of 33 points Halvor Egner Granerud won the 71st edition of the Four Hills Tournament. The Norwegian also dominated the final competition in Bischofshofen.

Thursday, January 5 - Qualification

Halvor Egner Granerud, who was already hard to catch up before the final event of the Tournament, underlined his favorite status again in the qualification in Bischofshofen and won with a lead of 4.4 points ahead of Dawid Kubacki. Third went to Anže Lanišek from Slovenia. Best DSV athlete in the qualification was Constantin Schmid on rank 13.

Friday, January 6 - Competition

Also in Friday's competition Halvor Egner Granerud proved his top form and crowned himself the deserved overall winner of the 71st Four Hills Tournament with his third victory in four competitions. Second in the competition was third overall Anže Lanišek. Behind the Slovenian lined up the Pole Dawid Kubacki, who finished second in the overall standings. These three athletes undoubtedly dominated this tour - out of twelve possible podium finishes they secured eleven.

For the DSV, Philipp Raimund again held the flag high, finishing twelfth and ending the tour as the second-best German overall in 13th place. Only Andreas Wellinger, who finished eleventh, finished ahead of him in the overall ranking.
