Leyhe decides home world cup and Willingen/5 for himself!

In his home town of Willingen Stephan Leyhe delivered an excellent competition at the weekend. He beat the Norwegian Marius Lindvik (2nd place) and Kamil Stoch (3rd place).

Those who followed the World Cup in Willingen saw a highly exciting competition at the Mühlenkopfschanze. Only 4. 0 points separate the winner from second place. Leyhe won with 266. 4 points just ahead of Lindvik (262. 4 points) and let the 23,500 spectators celebrate in Willingen with his final jump to 144. 5 metres. Leyhe could already win the qualification on Saturday and was at the top of the Willingen/5 ranking after the first of two planned competitions. Since the second competition in Willingen was cancelled, the German was presented with the winner's cheque on Saturday. Karl Geiger was also convincing with his performance and finished in a good 5th place. He is just behind the Austrian Stefan Kraft, who is still leading the overall World Cup with 68 points. The further placements of the German jumpers: Constantin Schmid landed on 21st place, Pius Paschke just behind him on 24th place, followed by Markus Eisenbichler on 26th place and Richard Freitag reached 31st place.
