Stefan Kraft wins overall World Cup

With the cancellation of the ski jumping season 2019/2020, which was decided yesterday due to the current situation and the increasing spread of the corona virus, it is already certain that Stefan Kraft will win the overall World Cup.

Stefan Kraft from Austria can be happy about winning the crystal globe and the second overall World Cup victory of his career. The German Karl Geiger is second in the overall World Cup ahead of Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan. Kamil Stoch from Poland wins the overall ranking of the Raw Air Tour ahead of Ryoyu Kobayashi and the winner of this year's New Year's ski jumping competition Marius Lindvik from Norway. Stephan Leyhe becomes best German fifth in the Raw Air classification.

The Raw Air, which was also supposed to be the final event of this year's 2019/2020 World Cup, was early cancelled yesterday after the Norwegian government decided to cancel all sporting events in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Also, the ski flying world championship in Planica, which took place from 19.03. until 22.03. is postponed until next year. For the ski jumpers, the season is thus ended early.
