Titles for Eisenbichler and Team Germany

This first World Championships weekend could not have been better for Team Germany. They secured three medals.

Firstly it was Markus Eisenbichler who won the competiton on Saturday, thus breaking his long hunt for a first individual win. Team mate Karl Geiger joined him on the podium as well as the Swiss Killian Peier.

After that, everybody was expecting Germany to be in the lead for the team competition. And as a matter of fact, they were: After dominating the whole competition they went for Gold, leaving Austria and Japan quite far behind them.

Next on the World Championships schedule is a weekend on the smaller hill of Seefeld.
