World Cup weekend in Lahti

Back in World Cup action, Austria's Stefan Kraft shows great form. He secures the first individual victory, the team triumph and a strong third place on Sunday evening.

Friday - Individual competition


Stefan Kraft won the first of three World Cup competitions in Lahti on Friday evening. In difficult conditions the team Olympic Champion had a clear lead over Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud and Piotr Żyła from Poland who was only 0.2 points behind Granerud. Markus Eisenbichler and Karl Geiger jumped into 4th and 5th place.

Saturday - Team competition

The Austrian ski jumping team with Jan Hoerl, Clemens Aigner, Ulrich Wohlgenannt and Stefan Kraft secured victory in the team competition in Lahti on Saturday evening. Second went to the team from Slovenia and third to the DSV quartet with Markus Eisenbichler, Karl Geiger, Constantin Schmid and Severin Freund.

Sunday - Individual competition

Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud and Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi won the World Cup in Lahti on Sunday evening with equal points with 278.0 points. Third place went to Austria's Stefan Kraft. With this victory, Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi also took over the yellow jersey of the overall World Cup leader from Karl Geiger. He finished as the best DSV athlete in 5th place, Markus Eisenbichler jumped into 8th place.
