Another win for Freitag in Engelberg
Richard Freitag presented himself in outstanding shape again and took his third win this season in Engelberg. On Sunday, the 26-year-old secured the biggest jumps in both rounds, 137.5m and 135m, to grab the top step on the podium ahead of Poland's Kamil Stoch and Austria's Stefan Kraft. From a German point of view, Markus Eisenbichler (5th) and Andreas Wellinger (6th) managed to get into the top ten as well.
On Saturday it was only Anders Fannemel who beat Freitag. The Norwegian finished ahead of the German and Stoch.
Freitag now has 550 points, meaning he is more than 150 points clear at the top of the overall World Cup standings. This puts him ahead of Andreas Wellinger on 399 and Norway's Daniel Andre Tande on 356.
