Our DSV eagles showed a strong performance at the World Cup in Lathi (FIN), which is also reflected in the rankings. Stefan Kraft alone prevents a German triple success in Lathi. The Austrian started well into the World Cup weekend and won the first competition on Friday. On the following day the Germans were able to win in an exciting team jump just ahead of Slovenia and Austria. Karl Geiger crowned the team's performance with his victory on Sunday, ahead of the Austrians Stefan Kraft and Michael Hayboeck.

Geiger, Leyhe and Schmid with top performances in Rasnov
The ski jumping weekend in Rasnov, Romania, could hardly have gone better for the German jumpers. On Friday Karl Geiger won ahead of the second placed Stephan Leyhe and Stefan Kraft and on Saturday both, Karl Geiger and Constantin Schmid jumped onto the podium. Another ray of hope for the German athletes: Severin Freund returned to the Ski Jumping World Cup after a long injury break and even reached the final round on Saturday.

On Saturday, Piotr Zyla from Poland already won the first ski flying World Cup of the season. On Sunday Stefan Kraft added to his strength and won his home World Cup on the Kulm after the first run.

2. Place for Stephan Leyhe - Sato and Kraft win in Sapporo
The two FIS World Cups this weekend in Sapporo were characterized by difficult conditions. On Saturday the Japanese Yukiya Sato jumped to 1st place and on Sunday Stefan Kraft could secure the victory at the Okurayama hill.
