Junior World Cup Champion David Siegel ensures victory at the German Championships
With jumping distances of 140 and 126 metres and a total of 227.8 points, Siegel surprisingly reached the first rank ahead of Andreas Wellinger on the second (137.5 and 127 metres; 275.6 points) and Richard Freitag on the third rank (136 and 124.5 metres; 266.4 points).
Places four to six went to Marinus Kraus, Karl Geiger and Stephan Leyhe. Markus Eisenbichler reached place eight after a fall on the first jump, one place ahead of Andreas Wank on rank nine.
Severin Freund, who celebrated his comeback a few weeks ago at the Summer Grand Prix after a long period of suffering from injury, cancelled his participation to utilise the weekend for his regeneration.
