Oberstdorf: Ski Flying World Cup
In front of a home crowd in Oberstdorf, fans were able to watch a super team flight on Friday and two individual flights each on Saturday and Sunday. The qualification scheduled for Thursday was postponed to Saturday due to strong winds.
Friday - Super Team competition
National coach Stefan Horngacher nominated Andreas Wellinger and Pius Paschke for the super team competition, which was held in two rounds.
The German duo missed out on the medal places and finished in sixth place. Victory went to the Slovenians Timi Zajc and Domen Prevc, ahead of the Norwegians Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Johann André Forfang and the Austrians Michael Hayböck and Stefan Kraft.
Saturday - Individual competition
Andreas Wellinger was the best German in sixth place in the individual competition on Saturday. The victory again went to Timi Zajc ahead of his compatriot Peter Prevc and Austria's Stefan Kraft.

Sunday - Individual competition
Andreas Wellinger, who was still in fourth place after the first run, had high hopes of winning a medal. However, he was unable to make up any more places in the second round and slipped back to seventh place. Pius Paschke finished in 17th place, Philipp Raimund in 26th place and Karl Geiger in 29th place.
Stefan Kraft once again secured victory ahead of Peter Prevc and Ryoyu Kobayashi.
Continental Cup
Markus Eisenbichler, on the other hand, had some pleasing results to report: He won an individual competition for the first time in over three years and triumphed in the second individual competition on Saturday in Iron Mountain. Ben Bayer finished in third place.
The World Cup in Lahti (Finland) is scheduled for next weekend (March 01 to 03).
