Oberstdorf: Ski Flying World Cup

There were no German medals at the ski flying event in Oberstdorf this time. Instead, Markus Eisenbichler won the Continental Cup in the USA.

In front of a home crowd in Oberstdorf, fans were able to watch a super team flight on Friday and two individual flights each on Saturday and Sunday. The qualification scheduled for Thursday was postponed to Saturday due to strong winds.

Friday - Super Team competition

National coach Stefan Horngacher nominated Andreas Wellinger and Pius Paschke for the super team competition, which was held in two rounds.
The German duo missed out on the medal places and finished in sixth place. Victory went to the Slovenians Timi Zajc and Domen Prevc, ahead of the Norwegians Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Johann André Forfang and the Austrians Michael Hayböck and Stefan Kraft.
