Raw Air opener: Geiger on the podium!

The Raw Air Tour has started and at the first stop in Oslo there was already reason to celebrate for German ski jumper Karl Geiger who started the tour with a strong third place. The victory went to the Slovenian ski jumper Anze Lanisek, who was able to win narrowly against Stefan Kraft and Karl Geiger.

Saturday - Individual Jumping

Under difficult wind conditions the ski jumpers had to compete in round one. Karl Geiger could only place 13th at first. But in the second round the German started an impressive catch-up and improved by 10 places. In the end he could be happy about the third place, which is a strong result.

The victory in the Raw Air opener went to Anze Lanisek from Slovenia, who showed a strong performance in the second round (139.5 meters) and beat the competition. Second place went to the defending Raw Air Tour champion, Stefan Kraft from Austria.

The performance of Andreas Wellinger was particularly impressive. The German, who was struggling with health problems, fought his way to 5th place and secured the second top-5 result for the DSV.

Overall, the opening of the Raw Air tournament was an exciting competition in which the athletes showed great performances despite difficult conditions.
