DSV in Olympic shape!
Saturday - Individual competition
Karl Geiger's home victory at the World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt two weeks before the Olympic Winter Games provided a huge exclamation mark. The athlete from Oberstdorf won with 132m and 141m jumps and 288.3 points ahead of Slovenia's Anze Lanisek (283.1). Markus Eisenbichler (273.9) jumped into third place. With this victory Geiger also took the lead in the overall World Cup from Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi.
But also the rest of the DSV squad showed a strong performance - Stephan Leyhe (8th) and Constantin Schmid (9th) managed to jump into the top 10. The biggest surprise of the evening was delivered by Justin Lisso in eleventh place. The 21-year-old from Thuringia competed in only his second World Cup this weekend.

Next day - same podium. Also the second competition on the Hochfirstschanze in Titisee-Neustadt let the DSV team cheer. Geiger won again ahead of Slovenian Lanisek and teammate Eisenbichler. With the double victory the athlete from Oberstdorf extended the overall lead in the World Cup to 61 points ahead of Kobayashi.
