Four hills: Hörl wins at Bergisel

Jan Hörl is the winner of the Bergisel ski jump in Innsbruck. The Austrian came out on top in a thrilling competition ahead of Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi and his team-mate Michael Hayböck.

Three of four jumps in this year's Four Hills Tournament have been completed.
Sun, wind, exciting duels, a great atmosphere and a deserving winner.
The 21,000 spectators in the Bergisel cauldron were also able to watch an exciting day of competition in Innsbruck.

In the four knockout duels with German participation, there was also an all-German duel between Stephan Leyhe and Philipp Raimund. In the end, Philipp Raimund from Oberstdorf came out on top. Andreas Wellinger, Karl Geiger and Stefan Leyhe also qualified for the final (via the Lucky Looser ranking). Pius Paschke missed out on qualifying for the 2nd round in 36th place.

Austria's Jan Hörl secured the day's victory today, taking the lead with a jump of 127.5 meters and a total of 267.5 points. The podium was completed by Ryōyū Kobayashi (258.7 points) and Michael Hayböck (254.0 points). Andreas Wellinger secured fifth place as the best German.
Stephan Leyhe took 18th place, followed closely by Philipp Raimund (20th place). Karl Geiger finished 26th in difficult wind conditions.

The new overall leader of the 72nd Four Hills Tournament is Ryōyū Kobayashi ahead of Andreas Wellinger, who falls just behind him in second place. Jan Hörl is in third place after his victory today.
So anything is still possible in the Three Kings competition in Bischofshofen. Only there will it be decided who gets to lift the golden eagle.

Tomorrow the jumpers will have a day off before the qualification for the decisive competition on Saturday takes place on Friday.
