Fourth places for DSV Team and Richard Freitag

Kobayashi (JPN) celebrates his first World Cup win. Norway wins the team competition.

The 26-years old Japanese Junshiro Kobayashi won the first World Cup of the new season. It was also the first win in his whole career. With jumps on 124 and 126.5 meters, he won ahead of the top favourites Kamil Stoch (POL) and Stefan Kraft (AUT). Richard Freitag (GER) was the leader after the first round, but due to difficult conditions could only reach 120 meters In the final and fell back to the fourth place. Two other Germans made it into the top ten: Andreas Wellinger finished ninth and Stephan Leyhe on the tenth place.

In Saturdays team competition, the German team with Leyhe, Wellinger, Freitag and Geiger landed on the fourth place. A strong Norwegian team won ahead of Poland and Austria.
