Klingenthal: Germany wins mixed team jumping competition

Successful conclusion of the Summer Grand Prix for the German mixed team around Selina Freitag, Martin Hamann, Katharina Schmid and Andreas Wellinger. The DSV quartet delivered a convincing performance and was able to celebrate the victory.

Saturday - individual jumping

The last individual competition of the Summer Grand Prix took place on Saturday on the large hill of Klingenthal. The DSV jumpers missed the podium places. The victory went to Austria's Manuel Fettner (282.4 points) ahead of Poland's Dawid Kubacki (278.7 points) and his Austrian compatriot Daniel Tschofenig (269.4 points). Best German was Martin Hamann in 6th place with a total of 267.5 points, followed by Andreas Wellinger, who finished in 8th place with 264.6 points.

Sunday - Mixed Team Jumping

On Sunday the mixed team competition took place. The constellation of Freitag, Hamann, Schmid and Wellinger dominated the mixed team jumping. With a total of 976.2 points and a gap of more than 40 points, the quartet finished in first place ahead of Japan (932.0 points) and Austria (923.1 points) and secured the Mixed title at the end of the summer season.

For the DSV eagles it is now time for the final preparation before the start of the World Cup season on November 24-26 in Ruka. In the women's event, the season opener is one week later (December 1-3) in Lillehammer.
